Why drive for Jensen

• All work is food grade: liquid tanker and dry bulk pneumatic. Paid training: tanker training for experienced drivers, and Class A CDL training for farm drivers and Class B drivers.

• Assigned trucks: Freightliner Columbia CL120 with a 10-speed manual transmission, bunk heaters, and inverters allowed at no extra charge.

Two ways to drive for Jensen

Experienced Class A drivers

• Class A CDL with tanker endorsement (no Hazmat).
• Every driving job runs a manual transmission.
• 2+ years of driving experience (verifiable tractor-trailer experience, or military equivalent). No tanker experience needed: we provide paid tanker training. Veterans: see how your military driving counts.
• Clean MVR, drug screen and background.

Entry-level program: farm drivers and Class B drivers

Grew up driving farm trucks? If you drive ag exempt on the farm but don’t have a CDL yet, or you hold a Class B CDL and have driving experience, our paid Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) program is built for you. We train qualified drivers for their Class A CDL, a manual transmission and tanker work, so you can start a career with a family company that has hauled food made from Midwest corn and soybeans since 1930.

• Who it’s for: ag-exempt farm drivers who don’t have a CDL yet, and Class B CDL drivers with driving experience.
• Paid training for drivers who qualify.

• Schedule: Full time
• Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Multi-state Midwest regional food-grade carrier, 5-6 loads a week. Load in Cedar Rapids or Keokuk, deliver, and head straight back empty. Standard week is 5 days; drivers who want to run their full 70 hours are welcome.

Class A CDL Driver – Drop & Hook Lane, 6 Days, Home Daily

• Pay: $77,000-$100,000 per year
• Schedule: Full time
• Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Home daily, 6 days a week, then a full 34-hour weekend reset with either Saturday or Sunday off every week. Drop-and-hook lane out of Cedar Rapids.

Diesel Truck Mechanic

• Pay: $30-$40 per hour
• Schedule: Full time
• Location: Independence, IA

Full repair on our Class 8 fleet in our own shop: engines (Detroit DD13, DD15, Series 60), aftertreatment, electrical, brakes, suspension, drivetrain. Monday to Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm, home every night. Diagnostic tools supplied; bring your own hand tools.
