Bulk Recovery: Vacuum Trailers for Damaged Bins and Railcars
Food-grade bulk since 1930 · One call reaches a real person · 99% on-time
When a bin is damaged or a railcar cannot be pressurized, the product inside is stuck. Recovery is the service you call when your normal unloading plan has failed.
What our recovery service is
When a shipper needs help, we supply food-grade pneumatic vacuum trailers to unload bins or railcars that have been damaged and cannot be pressurized. Typical jobs include vacuuming product out of a silo and transferring it inside the plant or into railcars. Jensen Transport also helps with:
- Railcar cleanout and rebalancing.
- Bin-to-bulk-silo plant work.
- Plant recovery following floods or natural disasters.
Iowa shippers know what a flood does to a plant. We have been in this region since 1930.
How a recovery job works
- We send a driver, a truck and a vacuum trailer.
- Typical response is 24 to 48 hours.
- We have traveled as far as Maine for recovery work.
- Set up your account ahead of time so we can respond faster. Request a quote or call the office and we will get your account started before you need us.
We do not run an emergency or 24-hour line. Recovery is scheduled work, which is why having your account ready matters.
Equipment
- Food-grade pneumatic vacuum trailers.
Food-safety standards
Recovered product is still food. Your team decides where it goes; we move it under your plant’s food-safety procedures.
Who it is for
Plant managers, maintenance and logistics teams, and ingredient suppliers dealing with a damaged bin, a silo that needs to be emptied, a railcar that will not unload, or a plant coming back from a flood or other disaster.
Areas served
We run from our headquarters in Independence, Iowa and serve shippers in Cedar Rapids, Keokuk and Eddyville, Iowa, and Decatur, Illinois. We are a regional carrier: most of our freight runs across the Midwest, and we also haul into Canada. See all areas we serve. We have traveled as far as Maine for recovery work, so ask us about your plant wherever it is.
